FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

We try to anticipate questions you might have about our PRODUCT / SERVICE and provide the answers here. If you need additional information send email to konafishing@bitemesportfishing.com

1. What do I bring?

We will have water and sodas as well as some dry snacks for you but you are free to bring anything else you want to eat and drink.

Bring your bathing suit and a towel and if you have your own personal snorkel equipment or flotation feel free to bring those things with you if you prefer.

Children under 36 inches tall and infants need to bring their own life jacket.

Don’t forget to bring your Camera!

2. Is the Ocean rough?

Kona is located on the leeward side of the island. The tradewinds blow from east to west and we are blocked from those winds by the large volcanic mountains of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and our mountain…Hualalai. Even if it is windy up north by Waikoloa, it is usually very calm in Kona.

3. Are we guaranteed to see Dolphins, Mantas and/or Whales?

These creatures are in the open ocean and not in an aquarium. However, we know where they like to hang out and hardly ever get “skunked”.  We offer GUARANTEED SIGHTINGS or you can come again for FREE!

Client Testimonials

The best reference is a good word!

  • Whether its Dolphin or Manta, the captain and crew really took great care of me. I really enjoyed swimming with the dolphins. The Manta Rays are even better. The Mantas were the highlight. A must do for anyone coming to the island.

  • We had an amazing experience even though it took a while to see the mantas, but once we did - WOW. The staff was friendly and wonderful and stresses the importance of having an encounter that was safe for the animals.

  • Captain Charlie took us out deep sea fishing. It was an absolute blast. Captain was very Knowledgable and we had so much fun with the Dolphins! We ended up catching a 400 lb blue marlin. It was honestly a trip of a lifetime.
